Portrait of artist Rick Warfield

Richard “Rick” Warfield

I was raised in the foothills of the Appalachian mountain range of upstate New York. My passion for art has been a lifelong journey of over sixty years, capturing life, nature and culture in all their splendor.

As a self-taught artist I have refined my style and techniques by studying renowned artists Bob Ross, Walt Alexander, Terry Redlin, Carla Grace, Terry Maden and many others. Through their eyes and hands, I have learned how to capture the world around us on canvas with oil paints, acrylics, watercolor and pencil.

The Wow Factor

I love majestic mountains, the tranquility of a pond, and capturing life in action. I endeavor to create a 'WOW' factor, an emotional connection between the viewer and my artwork. As I accentuate light striking water, or the sparkle in an eye, I am creating a mood that I hope moves the viewer to simply utter, wow.

It is my deepest desire to honor the greatest creator of all time, God. May my art bless you and glorify my King.
